The 2018 game is Roger's 26th as director of the bowl. His attention to detail and organizational skills make the complex task of presenting a bowl game manageable. He grew up with the Mineral Water Bowl as his father, Melvin, was active in presenting the bowl in the 60's and 70's and is a former QB Club treasurer. Roger and his wife Kim are the parents of two children, Ericka and Drake.

The Mineral Water Bowl game is presented by the Excelsior Springs Quarterback Club, a 501 c.3 non-profit organization. The event is played for the benefit of local high-school and youth activities programs in the area.
